Build clear statements and questions by putting words in their usual positions.
Inglizcha oddiy darak gap ko‘pincha ega → fe’l → obyekt tartibida bo‘ladi. O‘zbekchadagi fe’lning oxirda kelishini to‘g‘ridan-to‘g‘ri ko‘chirmang. Savol va inkor uchun yordamchi fe’l o‘rniga e’tibor bering.
The usual order in a simple statement is subject + verb + object: We watch films. An adjective normally goes before its noun or after be: a small room; the room is small. Frequency adverbs usually go before the main verb but after be: I often cook; she is often busy. Keep a verb and its object together, then add manner, place or time: She reads books quietly at home. In questions, put be or the auxiliary before the subject: Is she ready? Do you work here?
On small screens, swipe tables sideways.
| Pattern | Example |
|---|---|
| subject + verb + object | I drink tea. |
| subject + be + adjective | The tea is hot. |
| adjective + noun | a hot drink |
| subject + frequency + main verb | We often eat fish. |
| subject + be + frequency | He is always polite. |
| verb + object + manner | She closed the door quietly. |
| Type | Pattern | Example |

| be question | be + subject | Are you tired? |
| present question | do/does + subject + base verb | Does she drive? |
| past question | did + subject + base verb | Did he call? |
| question word | where/when/etc. + auxiliary + subject + verb | Where do they live? |
| negative | subject + auxiliary + not + verb | We do not eat meat. |
