General English · A1

At, in, on: time

Say when something happens: a time, a day or a longer period.

What you will learn

  • Choose at for clock times, on for days and in for longer periods.
  • Use common parts-of-day expressions.
  • Know when no preposition is needed.

Vaqtni aytganda soat bilan at, kun yoki sana bilan on, oy va yil bilan in ishlatiladi. Ayrim birikmalarni alohida eslab qolish kerak.

Use at with a precise clock time, on with a day or date, and in with a month, year or season. Some common phrases need special attention: in the morning but at night. If a time phrase starts with every, this, next or last, normally do not add at, in or on.
